CHRISTKINDL
FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIPS -
Christkindl
Festival weekend marks the beginning of the
holiday season in Jackson County. We welcome
visitors not only from Black River Falls and
Jackson County, but from across the country. The
spirit of the Christkindl Festival is to bring the
community together to enjoy the Old World charms
of Christmas. At Christkindl Festival we have a
variety of delicious winter-time comfort foods and
refreshments to enjoy. We highlight local artists
and performers throughout the weekend giving them
a stage to showcase their talent. Christkindl
Festival is FREE to all who attend, including all
children's activities in the Kindermarkt, special
exhibits and horse-drawn wagon rides. An
element of the Christkindl Festival is the annual
Christkindl and Father Christmas election. A
teenage boy and girl are elected after submitting
an application, essay and completing an interview
with a panel of judges, which includes the past
year's Christkindl and Father Christmas. The newly
elected Christkindl and Father
Christmas are chosen based on their level of
community involvement and charitable acts. Their
duties are to spread Christmas spirit throughout
their reigning year. This is a wonderful
opportunity for local teens to be involved with
their community and provides strong criteria for
their college applications. From the Christmas
Tree lighting, singing Christmas carols by
candlelight, to the awestruck feelings of the
Christkindlmarkt tent, this event brings back
the magic of Christmas to Black River Falls.
In order for the Black River Falls
Downtown Association to host this event
and bring the spirit of Christmas to the
area, we need charitable donations from the
community so that the Christkindl
Festival will continue to be a FREE event for
it's visitors.
We appreciate all levels of
sponsorship and welcome any support you can
provide. Any questions regarding the events,
volunteerism and/or sponsorship should be directed
to the Christkindl Festival Committee.
Thank you, Valerie
